State Department: ERP cyberattacks on the rise [Video]
Hello and welcome to another Accent Software video blog!
The U.S. State Department recently publicized research that revealed an increase in the number of cyberattacks targeting enterprise resource planning software. The report, compiled by two separate data security firms, advised businesses to take steps to protect the sensitive company, customer and employee data contained within their E-R-P solutions. But, how can enterprises in the manufacturing space do this?
Consistently implementing system updates and vendor security patches is the most effective method as such maintenance activities mend core software vulnerabilities that facilitate system intrusion. Of course, putting into place additional protections, including encryption and mobile device monitoring services, is ideal as well.
Manufacturers that adopt these best practices and partner with E-R-P providers that emphasize data security can effectively defend themselves from the rising threats mentioned in research shared by the State Department.
Thanks for watching and make sure to stop by again for more E-R-P implementation tips!
